PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method utilizing an agglutination reaction of an affinity substance capable of promoting a coupling, in the method of agglutinating carrier particles by coupling an affinity substance with a partner, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: This method measures a coupling reaction between the affinity substance of an measuring object and the coupling partner having the coupling affinity with the affinity substance, by the agglutination reaction. The coupling partner is bonded to the carrier particles, and the carrier particlea are agglutinated by the coupling reaction. The agglutination reaction is promoted by incubating a reaction liquid before applying an electric field. The agglutination reaction is promoted by regulating a temperature and viscosity of the reaction liquid placed in the electric field, resulting in enhancement of measuring sensitivity.
