PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston of an internal combustion engine having a low heat conductive member having a small heat conductivity and a thermal expansion characteristic similar to an aluminum alloy which is used for the piston as a base material. SOLUTION: In this piston of an internal combustion engine, the low heat conductive member is arranged at the top of the piston. The low heat conductive member is formed of an alloy including Fe and Mn. The low heat conductive member is desirably be formed of a sintered body composed of Mn of 10 to 60 mass%, C of 2 mass% or less, and the remaining having Fe and unavoidable impurities.
