PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an operation for mounting a roller on an upper rail by remarkably improving an assembling efficiency by post-fitting a rise prevention spacer to a runner connection member and also facilitate an operation for replacing the rise prevention space when worn out without requiring much labor. SOLUTION: This runner device of a sliding door comprises a runner body 24 having the roller 24 so supported on the upper rail as to be traveled, a runner connection member 40 fitted to the upper part of the sliding door, and a runner vertical shaft 32 for connecting the runner connection member 40 to the runner body 24. The rise prevention spacer 120 for preventing the sliding door from being raised is disposed between the upper rail and the runner connection member 40.
