PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe pile with excavation blades, which can efficiently carry out pile driving irrespective of the hardness of the ground, reduces core shake of the pile during the pile driving, and contributes to reduction of vibration of a building at the time of an earthquake. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the steel pipe pile, the excavation blades 3a, 3b each having projections 4 projecting from a lower surface thereof, are arranged at least a distal end of a pile forming pipe member 2 so as to avoid blocking of a pipe hole of the pile forming pipe member 2 in a manner capable of excavating the ground. The excavation blades 3a, 3b each having the projections 4 projecting from the lower surface thereof, are further arranged at a location near a rear end of the pile forming pipe member 2, and a peak member 10 having a pointed edge is arranged at the distal end of the pile forming pipe member 2 in a manner crossing the pipe hole.
