PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lock mechanism having a compact structure and capable of sufficiently preventing a parked vehicle from moving. SOLUTION: The parking lock mechanism 30 is incorporated in an electric vehicle 10 including a motor 12 for driving a wheel 11 and a planetary-gear mechanism 20 in the wheel 11. The parking lock mechanism 30 includes a parking-lock hub 31 that integrally rotates with a driving shaft 15 of the motor 12, and an engaging mechanism 100 that stops the rotation of the driving shaft 15 by engaging with the parking lock hub 31.
