POLISHING ROLL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease clogging of hole(s) caused by the waste object by decreasing the waste object produced when a work furnished with small through holes is polished, such as a printed circuit board furnished with through holes. SOLUTION: The base material of a polishing roll 50 consists of a non-woven cloth 12 structured so that synthetic fibers 14 having fiber diameters as ranging between 10-36μm are entangled three-dimensionally and the entangling points of fibers 14 with one another are stuck fast by a binder resin 16. Abrasive grains 18 are included in this non-woven cloth 12 dispersedly and secured fast by a synthetic resin bonding agent 20. The polishing material 10 consisting of non-woven cloth is shaped rectangularly by cutting etc., compressed and fixed, and then installed on the peripheral surface of a core 52 rigidly as in a single piece using a synthetic resin.
