PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image shake without changing optical performance and increasing the number of components and manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: A rear projection TV has, in a housing, an image display element and a front group lens 206 for magnifying and projecting an image displayed on the image display element onto a screen. The rear projection TV includes a fastening mechanism by which a lens barrel 207 for a rear group lens fixed to a housing and a front group lens 206 are fastened in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the optical axis of the front group lens 206.
