PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which does not cause the hollow defect in letters even when using an amorphous silicon photoreceptor in the image forming apparatus of a tandem developing method. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus of a tandem developing method, an average roundness Cn of used toner (n represents the number of whole colors of toner of forming an image and Cn represents the average roundness in toner for a developer of performing the n-th transfer) is 0.89 or more, satisfies C1≤C2≤...≤Cn and satisfies C1<Cn, wherein n>1.
