PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body having a surface layer in which inorganic particulates are uniformly dispersed and achieving halftone free from image irregularity, and an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer body of the image forming apparatus where a toner image carried on an electrostatic latent image carrier is primarily transferred to the intermediate transfer body 70 and then secondarily transferred from the intermediate transfer body to transfer material is an intermediate transfer body of laminated structure having at least a base material layer 701 and the surface layer 702. The surface layer contains organic hardening resin, at least one or more kinds of inorganic particulates, and at least one or more kinds of dispersion assistants regulated by an expression: ¾sum total of acid number - sum total of amine valence¾≤30mgKOH/g.
