IMMOBILIZED AND STABILIZED MUTATED PENICILLIN G ACYLASE ENZYME, PROCESS FOR OBTAINING IT AND ITS APPLICATIONS

The present invention describes different PGA enzyme mutants prepared by inserting one (1) Cys (in each mutant) in a different region of the surface of the enzyme which was relatively rich in lysine residues as well as immobilized forms on disulphide/epoxide supports and with additional mutations which increase their stability with respect to the effect of heat and organic solvents (300,000 times more stable than the corresponding soluble enzyme). The excellent stability of these enzymatic derivatives makes them very useful for catalysing different industrial processes of interest in organic and pharmaceutical chemistry: hydrolysis of penicillin, synthesis reactions in the presence or absence of solvents and enantioselective hydrolysis and synthesis reactions.
