<p>The mold has an injection opening (5) connected by an injection channel (7) to injection molding cavities. A lower covering layer (10) is laid into the opened mold (1). Over this layer, at the injection opening, a spacer (8) is introduced. At the injection opening, a perforated upper covering layer (9) is added over the lower covering layer and spacer. The mold is then closed and flowing plastic material is introduced through the injection opening. The mold has air vent openings, each connected by a vent channel to a molding cavity. Before mold closure, a spacer is placed near each vent opening. During injection, the openings vent air from the cavities. The spacer is a washer or perforated disc, of greater outer diameter than the gate channel. The mold halves have a recess (13) matching the washer, which rests locally on at least one side wall section of the injection channel.
