A method for removing alien substances from surfaces of ceramic hearth rolls is provided to be able to remove alien substances formed on surfaces of the hearth rolls by variably setting rotary speeds of hearth rolls per heating, soaking, reducing and cooling zones in a state that an annealing operation is not stopped. A method for removing alien substances from surfaces of ceramic hearth rolls comprises setting rotary speeds of hearth rolls which are disposed in a heating zone, a soaking zone, a reducing zone and a cooling zone formed along a proceeding path of the steel sheet such that the rotary speeds are respectively in ranges of 97 to 98 mpm, 98 to 99 mpm, 99 to 100 mpm, and 100 to 101 mpm while maintaining a proceeding speed of the steel sheet when a proceeding speed of a steel sheet is 100 mpm. The hearth rolls are rotated by separate drive motors respectively. The hearth rolls(12A) installed in the heating zone, the hearth rolls(12B) installed in the soaking zone, and the hearth rolls(12C) installed in the reducing zone, and the hearth rolls(12D) installed in the cooling zone are rotated to equal rotary speeds by respective drive motors(13A,13B,13C,13D). |
