A LINEAR ELECTROMECHANICAL ACTUATOR, PARTICULARLY FOR A PARKING BRAKE

The actuator comprises a screw mechanism with a nut (10) and a screw (11), both of which can be rotated by means of an electric motor (1), and a gear mechanism interposed between the electric motor and the screw mechanism. The gear mechanism includes two pairs of gears (3, 8; and 5, 13), providing two different transmission ratios (T<SUB>1</SUB>, T<SUB>2</SUB>), in order to rotate the screw and the nut in the same chosen direction of rotation but at different angular velocities.
