<p>A powdered rheology modifier is provided to secure a good handling property and high productivity. A powdered rheology modifier contains an anionic aromatic compound, a cationic surfactant, and an inorganic powder having a specific surface area of 5000 cm^2/g or more. The inorganic powder is silica fume. The cationic surfactant is supported on the inorganic powder. A method for preparing the powdered rheology modifier includes a step of mixing the inorganic powder, anionic aromatic compound, and cationic surfactant, wherein at least one of the anionic aromatic compound and cationic surfactant is mixed in a liquid phase.</p> |
