PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay whose absorptions of an armature and an iron core are sufficiently secured even when the electromagnetic relay is downsized, and which has no trouble in contact/release operation of movable contacts and fixed contacts. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay is equipped with a coil bobbin 3 through the center of whose body 32 the iron core 1 is penetrated and on whose body 32 an exciting coil 31 is wound, and a yoke 2 is swingably attached which is fixed to the iron core 1 and to which the armature 8 with a leaf spring 9 having the movable contacts 91, 92 thereon is fixed. Energizing the exciting coil 31 makes the iron core 1 absorb the armature 8, whereby the movable contacts 91, 92 are made to contact with/release from the fixed contacts 7, 62. The iron core 1 is equipped with a head 1a as the absorption of an area S coincident with the size and shape of the portion opposing to the armature 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
