PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for recording data to an optical disk for improving the data recording efficiency in the optical disk. SOLUTION: When recording data D1, D2, D3, and D4 are started from a block 708, dummy data containing a synchronism pull-in pattern is recorded in the last sector P of a block 707, immediately prior to the block 708; then the data D1, D2, D3 and D4 are recorded in the following block 708. During reproduction, PLL synchronation pull-in is performed during reproduction of the dummy data recorded in the sector P, and the data D1, D2, D3 and D4 recorded in the block 708 are reproduced, while keeping the pull-in synchronation, as it is.
