PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak testing method that can be applied to various sized vessels or various contained materials, when the contained component is a liquid, and to provide an apparatus. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a blocked/containing vessel, the vessel is filled with a material having at least one liquid component; the vessel is blocked hermetically; and leak testing is applied to the vessel. When leak testing is applied, pressure difference is applied partially to the interior and the exterior of a vessel wall, by evacuating the surrounding space of the vessel and reducing the pressure of the surrounding space to the vapor pressure of the liquid component or lower; the pressure of the surrounding space is observed as a leakage determining signal; leakage state of the vessel is recognized, by comparing a dynamic threshold with a signal based on the pressure observed; and the dynamic threshold is updated by averaging, when there is no leak in the vessel.
