PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger easily manufactured, reduced in cost and capable of preventing damage to a tube joint part in a core plate by reducing the temperature difference between a tube at the endmost end and an adjoining tube. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger comprises a plurality of tubes 2 through which heat exchange mediums pass; a plurality of fins 3 laminated alternately with the tubes 2 to increase the heat transfer of the heat exchange medium; core plates 5a to which both ends of the tubes 2 are connected; an insert 7 disposed further outside in the laminated direction of the tubes 2 from the end fin 3a disposed further outside the tube 2 disposed on the outermost side in the laminated direction of the tubes 2, and connected to the core plate; and cooling air intercepting means 50, 7b intercepting at least a part of the inflow of cooling air into the end fin 3a.
