The invention relates to extracting and processing different solid materials by cutting, for example to stone producing and shaping. The aim of said invention is to increase the service life of a working unit and to reduce the energy consumption by a cutting process. The inventive device with a flexible endless working unit for processing solid materials comprises at least one flexible endless working unit which is movably arranged in the annular groove of a power-driven roller and is pressed, along the arc of circle of said annular groove of a power-driven roller, by the belt of a belt transmission which is located on a side opposite to guide rollers. The power-driven roller provided with the annular groove is cinematically connected to the main drive of the device. The branches of the flexible endless working unit are movably arranged in the annular groove of a driven roller and are supported by the guide rollers provided with annular grooves. Said branches of the flexible endless working unit form a suspended open loop on the side which is diametrically opposite to the power-driven roller.
