The invention relates to fire arms and munition and is used for increasing the survivability of a fire arm barrel, mainly of long-burst arms. The inventive barrel air-cooling device (1) is embodied in the form of a jacket (3), which envelops the barrel, is tapered in the area of a muzzle to a diameter equal to or greater than a bullet diameter and expands after the muzzle. Said jacket is mounted on the barrel near the muzzle by means of ribs (2). An axial turbine is arranged on the side of the ribs oriented away from the muzzle. Through openings (4), the diameters of which increase in a direction towards the muzzle, are embodied in the jacket. The invention increases the survivability on the barrel and of the arm in its entirety.
