<p>An LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to set a gate-on voltage in the negative driving to be lower than a gate-on voltage in the positive polarity driving to reduce a difference in feed through voltage between positive polarity driving and negative polarity driving. A plurality of gate lines(GL[1]~GL[n]) intersects a plurality of data lines(DL[1]~DL[m]). A plurality of liquid crystal cells(Clc) is disposed in pixel areas defined by the data lines and the gate lines. A plurality of switching devices is disposed between the data lines and the gate lines, and drives the respective liquid crystal cells. A data driving circuit(51) supplies data having the same polarity with respect to the liquid crystal cells neighboring in a horizontal direction, and data having opposite polarities with respect to the liquid crystal cells neighboring in a vertical direction to the data lines. A gate driving circuit(52) supplies scan signals having different swing widths according to the polarity of the data to the gate lines. The switching devices includes a plurality of first switching devices driving a first liquid crystal cell, and a plurality of second switching devices driving a second liquid crystal cell neighboring with the first liquid crystal cell in a horizontal direction and disposed alternately with the first switching devices. The first switching device is connected to an nth gate line (n is a positive integer of 2 or greater), and the second switching device is connected to an n-1th gate line.</p> |
