<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal transmission system, an optical signal transmission method, and a path switching apparatus whereby one or more transmitters can simultaneously transmit audio video optical signals with different wavelengths to one or more receivers and each receiver can receive a desired audio video optical signal. <P>SOLUTION: In the case that the one or more audio video transmitters 3 transmit audio video optical signals to one or more audio video display apparatuses 1 via the path switching apparatus 2, the path switching apparatus 2 includes a path switching means 12, transmits a path setting optical signal with a particular wavelength for particularizing transmission destinations of the audio video optical signals to the display apparatus 1, cross-references the particular wavelength with the display apparatus 1 of the transmission destination on the basis of a response optical signal transmitted from the display apparatus 1 after the transmission, applies wavelength division multiplexing to the audio video optical signals transmitted from the transmitters 3 on the basis of the particular wavelength cross-referenced with the display apparatus 1 of the transmission destination, uses the path switching means 12 to separate the audio video optical signals subjected to the wavelength division multiplexing and transmits the separated audio video optical signals to each display apparatus 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
