<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operability in setting an original to a scanner part installed above a printer part where recording paper is ejected in a direction orthogonal to a scanning direction from being spoiled when a post-processing device is attached to the printer part. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with two supporting bodies 102 on both sides at the rear part of the printer part 100, and with the scanner part 104 while leaving space S at the upper part of the supporting body 102. It is provided with an opening part 110 at a position surrounded by the two supporting bodies 102, the scanner part 104 and the printer part 100. An optional double-sided unit 112 is attached to the back of the printer part 100 in the ejecting direction of the recording paper P. The double-sided unit 112 has a housing part 112A whose upper part is folded. By inserting the housing part 112A through the opening part 110, the conveying path 56 of the double-sided unit 112 is coupled with the conveying course of the printer part 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
