<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional layout system in which when a layout error occurs during formation of an electronic document, an electronic document with a partially lacked content is delivered to a client, and a user who has received this electronic document cannot sufficiently browse desired information. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic document is generated by inserting contents managed on a record basis to a plurality of containers according to a definition of document template (S3001).
