PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft drive type motorcycle capable of increasing the strength of a rear frame. SOLUTION: The motorcycle 1 transmits power from an engine E to a rear wheel 3 through a drive shaft 16 disposed in a front/rear direction of a vehicle body. The drive shaft 16 passes though a recessed portion 10a recessed inward in the vehicle width direction of a pivot frame 10 constituting a vehicle body. An external opening 51 of the recessed portion 10a in a vehicle width direction is closed by a frame cover 12.
