PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casing cap for a square steel pipe which is prepared by adapting a square casing to an existing pile driver, and a soil improvement construction method using a square casing. SOLUTION: The casing cap 1 for the square steel pipe includes a cylinder 5 held to be vertically movable along a guide post 33 of a pile driver 30, and a square portion 7 which is disposed on the lower part of the cylinder 5 and is fitted removably on the square casing 3 made of a square steel pipe.
