PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement connecting method and a reinforcement connecting structure, which reduce power consumption, which make costs low, and which enable reinforcements to be connected together without decreasing strength in a short period of time. SOLUTION: A metal pipe 2 is externally inserted to one reinforcement 1; both ends 2a of the metal pipe 2 are squeezed, and pressed against and fixed to one reinforcement 1; the other reinforcement 4 is welded to the metal pipe 2 in the state of crossing it; and the reinforcement 4 is connected and fixed to the reinforcement 1 via the metal pipe 2. One metal pipe 12 and the other metal pipe 14 are welded together in the state of crossing each other; one reinforcement 11 is internally inserted into the metal pipe 12; both ends 12a of the metal pipe 12 are squeezed, and pressed against and fixed to the reinforcement 11; the other reinforcement 13 is internally inserted into the metal pipe 14; both ends 14a of the other metal pipe 14 are squeezed, pressed against and fixed to the reinforcement 13; and the reinforcement 13 is connected and fixed to the reinforcement 11 via the metal pipe 12 and 14.
