PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforced earth retaining wall for use in a reinforced earth (reinforced bank) construction method, in which stacked earth retaining surface exerts flexibility. SOLUTION: According to the reinforced earth retaining wall structure, a single reinforced earth retaining wall is provided with projections and notches formed on and in a side surface thereof, respectively, and each projection or each notch is engaged in the notch or the projection of another reinforced earth retaining wall adjacent thereto, to thereby form the retaining wall surface. Herein when the retaining wall surface is formed, the thickness of each projection is set smaller than a groove width of each notch so that a gap is formed between a side surface of the projection and a side surface of the notch, and therefore by virtue of the presence of the gap, slight frontward/rearward movement of the reinforced earth retaining wall is allowed with respect to the reinforced earth retaining walls around the same.
