PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the industrial production of the subject substance in high efficiency. SOLUTION: The method for the production of 2-methyl-2-adamantyl (meth)acrylate comprises the reaction of 2-methyl-2-adamantanol with a (meth)acrylic acid halide provided that the addition of the 2-methyl-2-adamantanol and the (meth)acrylic acid halide to a reaction vessel is carried out by dropping the solutions of the substances separately and at the same time, and the dropping operation and the reaction are carried out while continuously or intermittently extracting the reaction liquid from the reaction vessel.
