An axis-symmetric molding glass lens and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to suppress an optical aberration by smoothly coupling a lens transfer region with an intermediate region between molds. A lens surface(40) is symmetrical with respect to a length-directional center axis and formed on an axis-symmetric molding glass lens. The lens surface is bent from a lens center to an intermediate region of the lens. A ring-like axis-symmetric intermediate region(41) is elongated from a lens transfer region as a portion thereof and smoothly and continuously connected to the lens transfer region using a planarization region. A mount flange(42) is formed around the intermediate region. The mount flange is formed on the axis-symmetric molding glass lens. A curvature of the axis-symmetric intermediate region is continuously varied, such that the lens transfer region is continuously and smoothly connected to the mount flange region.
