A method and system for cleaning and coating the interior surface (24) of a small diameter piping system (10) is provided. The method provides for cleaning the interior surfaces (24) of the piping system (24) to remove the scale or corrosion build-up (22) therein and the application of a coating (48) to prevent ongoing reaction between the material being conducted and the interior walls (24) of the piping system (10). The method provides for removing the fixtures (20) from all of the piping termination points, cleaning the piping (10) and coating the interior surfaces (24) of the piping with a non- toxic resin (38).
