<p>The invention relates to a chimeric antibody that binds specifically to a human antigen, is substantially non-immunogenic in a human, and is not the same as a human or chimpanzee antibody, wherein the antibody comprises light and heavy chain polypeptides that each comprise: a variable region having the amino acid sequence of a variable region of an antibody of an Old World monkey selected from rhesus monkeys, cynomolgus monkeys, and baboons, and a constant region having the amino acid sequence of a constant region of an antibody of a human or chimpanzee.
