<p>An automatic analyzer (1) has more lanes than an analyte conveyance section (44) and also has a lane shift section (46) having a bridging lane (46a) for shifting an analyte rack in the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction. To first convey a succeeding emergency analyte rack having a higher priority of analysis, a preceding analyte rack (41) present on the bridging lane (46a) is temporarily evacuated from a conveyance lane by shift operation of the lane shift section (46) to allow the succeeding emergency analyte rack to be conveyed first.</p> |
