The invention relates to a rolling stand, a rolling train and a method of rolling a metal strip preprofiled in a stepped manner. In order to ensure th at the metal strip is free from corrugations in the longitudinal direction of t he metal strip even after a thickness reduction with respect to individual step s, it is proposed according to the invention that the thickness reduction be carried out with respect to specific steps while taking into account the following mathematical interrelationship: .DELTA.hj/hj = .DELTA.hi+i/hi+1 = .epsilon. = constant, where .DELTA.hj represents the amount of thickness reduction in the region of the ith step and h.iota. represents the size of t he resulting thickness of the metal strip 200 after the rolling in the region o f the ith step.
