<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell having an electrolyte membrane having excellent proton conductivity and excelling in chemical stability. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell 100 is provided with a hydrogen separation membrane 10, an electrolyte membrane 20 having proton conductivity, formed of a perovskite type electrolyte comprising A<SB>1-x</SB>A'<SB>x</SB>B<SB>1-y-z</SB>B'<SB>y</SB>B''<SB>z</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and formed on the hydrogen separation membrane; and a cathode 30 formed on the electrolyte membrane; and is characterized in that the tolerance factor T of the perovskite type electrolyte satisfies 0.940≤T≤0.996. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
