<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing an insulation cylinder part from being broken due to handling from assembly to mounting on an engine, vibrations during transport or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An ignition coil 11 for an internal combustion engine comprises an ignition coil body 21 for generating high voltage and a protector 31 which is mounted in a high pressure tower part 22W of an insulating case 22 forming the ignition coil body 21 and which supplies the high voltage supplied from the ignition coil body 21 to an ignition plug 61 mounted in an engine 51, wherein the high pressure tower part 22W is molded of a resin more flexible than an insulation cylinder part 34 in the protector 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
