<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which a high-quality image is obtained, carrier adhesion is prevented and stable images can be produced over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes at least a developing step of developing an electrostatic latent image using a developing unit housing a two-component developer including toner and a carrier, wherein a replenisher developer including at least a replenisher toner and replenisher carrier is replenished to the developing unit and carrier present in surplus is discharged from the developing unit. The replenisher developer includes 2-50 parts by mass of the replenisher toner based on 1 part by mass of the replenisher carrier. A photosensitive layer comprises a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer, the photosensitive layer has a specific total thickness, and the carrier and replenisher carrier have a specific volume-base 50% particle diameter (D50), a specific true specific gravity and a specific intensity of magnetization in a magnetic field of 1,000/4π (kA/m). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
