<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trapping material with a high trapping efficiency for trapping materials to be trapped which enables rapid treatment, has a small degree of swelling and can retain strength, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor and a cartridge for solid phase extraction. <P>SOLUTION: The trapping material is bonded with a graft polymer chain introduced with a functional group for trapping for trapping the materials to be trapped on the surface part 12 of a base material 11 comprising a porous body having a communicating opening, and is constituted of a two-layer structure due to non-bonding the graft polymer chain inside the base material 11. The base material 11 is preferably of a sheet shape which is a thickness of 1-10 mm, an average opening diameter of the communicating opening of 0.5-5 μm and a volume ratio of the communicating opening of 70-85%.
