<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomagnetic measuring device for small animals, constituted suitable for measuring the cardiac magnetism and cerebral magnetism of a small animal such as a mouse. <P>SOLUTION: The biomagnetic measuring device comprises a small animal chamber 1 which is enclosed by a magnetic/radio shield 1a and in which the small animal A can be housed, a dewar chamber 2 set on the small animal chamber 1, a dewar 3 set inside the dewar chamber 2, a sensor tube 4 whose outer diameter is not more than 50 mm and which suspends from the dewar 3, piercing through the ceiling of the small animal chamber 1 from the floor of the dewar chamber 2 to project to the center of the small animal chamber 1, and a super-conductive magnetic sensor 5 set at the lower end of the sensor tube 4. This invention requires only the necessary smallest quantity of the magnetic/radio shield without requiring a noise source (e.g. a magnetic member) inside the small animal chamber at all, and the cardiac magnetism and cerebral magnetism of the small animal such as a mouse can be appropriately measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
