PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of suppressing steering operation exceeding the maximum steering angle of a turned wheel. SOLUTION: A micro-computer 41 is provided with an excessive steering detection part 55 for detecting occurrence of the maximum steering angle of the turned wheel, i.e., excessive steering operation (excessive steering) exceeding steering end. Further, when the micro-computer 41 detects occurrence of excessive steering by the excessive steering detection part 55, the micro-computer 41 changes F/B gain K used for feedback operation for controlling a motor 13 of a transmission ratio variable device 8 to a higher value than a value at usual control.
