PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid wire for gas-shielded arc welding which can provide stable bead formation and a welded joint having low high temperature crack sensitivity, and excellent fatigue strength, tensile strength and toughness, even in high speed welding at≥1.0 m/min in the welding of a steel sheet having a sheet thickness of 0.6 to 10 mm. SOLUTION: The solid wire comprises, by mass, 0.02 to 0.15% C, 0.50 to 1.50% Si, 1.00 to 3.00% Mn,≤0.025% P and 0.020 to 0.150% S, and further comprising one or two kinds selected from 0.005 to 0.5% Nb, 0.005 to 0.5% V, 0.010 to 0.5% Al, 0.005 to 0.5% Cr, 0.005 to 0.5% Ni and 0.0010 to 0.0100% B, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
