PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition that exhibits excellent deterging performances and resoiling-preventing performances against particularly solid particle stains, has good flexibility and good preservation stability, and permits incorporation of a perfume in a large amount. SOLUTION: The liquid detergent composition comprises (a) an anionic surfactant, (b) an amine compound represented by general formula (I), (c) a nonionic surfactant, (d) a perfume, and (e) a compound represented by general formula (II): R<SP>5</SP>Oä(C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>4</SB>O)<SB>m</SB>(C<SB>3</SB>H<SB>6</SB>O)<SB>p</SB>}H each in a specific ratio. In formula (I), R<SP>1</SP>is a 13-21C alkyl or alkenyl group; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a 1-6C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group; X is a group selected from among NH, CONH, COO and O; and R<SP>4</SP>is a 2-6C alkylene group.
