PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair-type massage machine which eliminates the possibility that a person to be treated feels pain since his/her upper body is completely off a backrest part during the stretching if the person to be treated has a body type with short arms. SOLUTION: The chair-type massage machine is equipped with a seat part 1, a backrest part 2, a pair of right and left arm fixing parts 16 for holding right and left arms tightly and fixing them, a raising and reclining operation part 5 for raising and reclining the backrest part 2 to the seat part 1, and a control part 14 for controlling to drive the pair of right and left arm fixing part 16 and the part 5. The control part 14 once raises the backrest part 2 after reclining the backrest part 2 by the part 5 while one arm of the person 50 to be treated is held tightly and fixed by one of the right and left arm fixing parts 16 to perform stretching operation, and then, the control part 14 reclines the backrest part 2 while the other arm of the person 50 is held tightly and fixed by the other arm fixing part 16 of the pair of right and left arm fixing parts to perform the stretching operation.
