A sealing device (1) for producing sealed packages (2) from a tube (3) of packaging material fed along a path (A) and filled with a pourable food product, the device having : a frame (6); a pair of jaws (12, 13) movable cyclically with respect to the frame (ß) and along part of the path (A) to grip the tube (3); ultrasonic sealing means (29) carried by a first jaw (12) to seal the tube (3); and power means (50) including a primary winding (56) fixed to the frame (6) and connectable to an electric energy source, and a secondary winding (63) carried by the first jaw (12), supplying the sealing means (29), and receiving electric energy by electromagnetic induction from the primary winding (56) as the first jaw (12) travels past the primary winding (56); and the device (1) having transformer means (70) supplied by the electric energy source with a first voltage value, and supplying the primary winding (56) with a second voltage value lower than the first voltage value.
