Disclosed is a novel material useful for selectively separating a cell such as a monocyte or a protein from a body fluid. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a material, a physiologically functional material using such a material, and a separating material using such a material. Further disclosed are a method for collecting a cell such as a monocyte, a method for collecting a protein and a method for preparing a dendritic cell, each using the separating material.
