Disclosed is an economical composite electromagnetic shielding filter which is high in durability of a dye, while exhibiting good absorption characteristics to near-infrared light of a wide wavelength range. This composite electromagnetic shielding filter also exhibits excellent light transmitting property in the visible light range at the same time. Specifically disclosed is a composite electromagnetic shielding filter having electromagnetic shielding properties and near-infrared absorbing properties. This composite electromagnetic shielding filter comprises a transparent base, a mesh layer and an adhesive layer as an intermediate layer, and is characterized that the adhesive layer contains at least three of the specific near-infrared absorbing dyes A-D. Also disclosed is a plasma display which is characterized in that such a composite electromagnetic shielding filter is arranged on the viewer side of the display.
