A connector system for an insulated switch to provide grounding and visible break is provided to electrically ground high voltage vacuum switches and contacts of the switches, and to visually confirm an open circuit. A connector system(16) includes a voltage source connector, a load connector, a first contact, and a second contact. The first contact is disposed in a vacuum bottle(14). The second contact is connected with the first contact in series. The second contact is positioned outside the vacuum bottle and includes a first separable interface, a second separable interface, and a conductive pin(22). The conductive pin connects the first separable interface and the second separable interface. A voltage source(90) is connected to a load through the first and second contacts. The connector system further includes a housing. The second contact is disposed in the housing. The connector system further includes a sight glass extending through the housing.
