<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which can direct the light flux in an appropriate direction with respect to the normal line of the light emitting surface of the light source device to obtain uniform illumination in high brightness in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: This light source device has a light source substrate arranged with many light source units with a predetermined pitch, secondary light source members forming a secondary light emitting surface by receiving light from many light source units, and a frame to support this light source substrate and this secondary light source from sides making them face each other.
