PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for displaying contents, by which recorded contents are easily checked through(using) image information of a recording medium without loading the recording medium in an apparatus. SOLUTION: The content display method includes steps of: recording contents onto a first recording surface by using the recording medium that has the recording surfaces on both sides; and recording identification information for distinguishing the recording medium onto a second recording surface, wherein the data of the identification information recorded in the second recording surface are stored in association with the content data; a memory means is retrieved by using an inputted information when the identification information of the recording medium is input which is obtained by imaging the recording medium, and the contents data related to the identification information of the input recording medium are detected; and contents recorded in the recording medium are reproduced and displayed by the detected content data.
