PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cord that is free from clogging of foreign objects in a sealed end face, by preventing occurrence of a gap between the inner peripheral face of pore and an occlusion material in a hole-assist type holey fiber. SOLUTION: The optical fiber 10 includes a core 11 having a relatively high refractive index and a clad 12 which is installed in a manner covering the core 11 and which has a relatively low refractive index, wherein the clad 12 is provided with a plurality of pores 13 so as to be extended along the core 11. On the fiber end side of these pores 13, a silicone resin is filled as the occlusion material 14 and is heated and hardened. This silicone resin has a lower refractive index than that of the clad 12.
